FIFA WORLD CUP FINALS 2026

Not long until the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup , and despite having both the Lucky 13 and the Premier League Darts to conclude preparation is the essence allowing entrants to do a little bit of research . Simply follow the instructions to enter , pick one nation from the first two groups and then two from each of the others . The entry fee is £25.00 and there are fifty days till kick off , and , no you can’t ! . Plenty of time to enter but I shall be calling time a bit earlier than usual due to recent confusion and misdemeanours . The rules very much follow those of the Lucky 13 but should be read before you select as there are a few differences . There will be an additional competition included within your £25.00 entry fee , the details of which will be revealed after the entry closing date which in itself will be announced soon .

THE GROUPS

THE RULES

Group Stage

Every goal scored by your team earns 1 point

A side scoring five or more goals in a single match will earn 2 points

A side conceding five or more goals in a single match will be deducted 2 points

A win in the Group Stage earns 3 point

A draw in the Group Stage earns 1 point

Each team that wins their group will win 6 points

Each team that finishes second in their group will win 4 points

Each team that finishes third in their group and qualifies for the knock out stage will win 3 points

Each team that finishes third in their group and fails to qualify will win 2 points

Each team that finishes fourth in their group will be deducted 4 points .

Knock Out Stages including the Final  (goals scored in penalty shoot outs do not add to your total)

Every goal scored by your team earns 1 point

A win in normal time earns 3 point

A win in extra times earns 2 points

A win on penalty kicks earns 1 point

Each team that qualifies for the quarter finals will win 2 bonus points

Each team that qualifies for the semi finals will win 4 bonus points

Each team that qualifies for the for the final will win 6 bonus points

The team who wins the World Cup will be awarded 8 bonus points

Post World Cup Final

Any nation that was defeated (by any method) by the eventual World Cup Winners in either the Group Stage , Last 32 Stage or last 16 Stage will receive 2 bonus points .

Any nation that drew with the eventual winners in the Group Stage will receive 3 bonus points .

Any nation that defeated the eventual winners in the Group Stage will receive 5 bonus points .
