LUCKY 13 -  2026/2027 SEASON

There is so much going on in the world of football nowadays , it is all getting a little bit too much , therefore this season 2026/27 the Lucky 13 competition is going back to basics . The competition started concentrating on goals , not performance , and that is where we will return , there will be a few twists along the way but predominately , scoring the most goals a week or exactly thirteen goals a week should be your aim .

The season shall be split over four stages with prizes for each stage  as well as an overall seasonal prize . The stages shall be announced when the PL and EFL fixtures have been announced . There will be transfer windows within the season although the cost of switching sides will be more expensive and potentially damaging than previous seasons , details of which will be published when the stage dates are released .

So how to score points ;

Premier League & EFL Groups

Every goal your selected sides score in the PL & EFL will earn you one point

Every goal your selected sides score in the FA Cup will earn you one point (excluding penalty shoot outs)

Every goal your selected sides score in the Caraboa Cup will earn you one point  (excluding penalty shoot outs)

Bonus points for League positioning will be awarded on the first day of every month , and it will be very simple , if your side is in the top half of their respective division at midnight on the first of the month they will receive two bonus points , if they are in the bottom half of the table no points will be awarded . The only other positional bonus points shall be decided at the end of the season when the Champions of each League shall be awarded 6 points , the runner up in each league shall be awarded 4 points  , the side who finished third in League Two shall be awarded 2 points . Any side that wins a play off final shall also be awarded two points  . In all cases the sides that receive these points MUST be from your original four selected sides , teams that are transferred in will not qualify for League position bonus points . 

Bonus points in both of the cup competitions are only available to sides from League One and League Two (with the exception of the eventual cup winners)  . Each match sides from those leagues win in either competition will be rewarded with two bonus points . The ultimate winners of both cups shall receive 4 bonus points .The sides that receive these points MUST be from your original four selected sides , teams that are transferred in will not qualify for Cup tie bonus points . 

European Groups

Every goal your selected sides score in the Champions League & Europa League will earn you one point in both the League and Knock Out stages (excluding penalty shoot outs) . There will be two points awarded to any side that progresses from the various Leagues to the knock out stage of the competition . A further two bonus points will be awarded to any side that reach the semi final stage . The ultimate winners of both the Champions League and Europa League will each receive 4 bonus points . The goals scored by your teams in the Champions League will count towards your overall and stage totals however they will not be counted in the weekly Lucky 13 or weekly highest scorers charts .

General

The entrant(s) who score the most goals (excluding Champions League Goals) in a single game week 00:01 Monday through to 23:59 Sunday will be awarded five bonus points

The entrant(s) who score exactly thirteen goals (excluding Champions League Goals) in a single game week 00:01 Monday through to 23:59 Sunday will be awarded five bonus points

Stages

Stage 1 - 8th August 2026 to 18th October 2026

Stage 2 - 19th October 2026 to 3rd January 2027

Stage 3 - 4th January 2027 to 21st March 2027

Stage 4 - 22nd March 2027 to Season End approx 1st June 2027 .

Transfers

Each entrant will be allowed to transfer a maximum of three of their original selections during transfer windows which will open a week prior to the end of Stages 2 , 3 & 4 . You may only transfer sides for others within the same group , and you may only transfer from any particular group once . Each transfer will cost your starting total in the next stage minus fifteen points , minus thirty if two transfers are made , and minus forty five if three transfers are carried out . Remember sides transferred in do not qualify for some of the above bonus points .

Prizes

Prizes shall be awarded during each stage based only on goals scored , scores will reset after the end of each stage to zero .

A running total of bonus points for being the highest weekly scorer , hitting 13 goals in a week and the bonus points mentioned above will be kept , however these points only come into play in the overall seasonal prize total , when goals scored in each of the four stages will be added together along with all bonus points to determine the winner(s)
