MASTERS GOLF 2026 

The US Golf Masters tees off on Thursday 9^th April 2026 in Augusta,  and all entry fees (£15) and selections must be received 24 hours prior to the first shot .

How to play

Below you will see six groups each containing six players , Groups one to five include players who have the current shortest prices with  the bookies (24/03/26) to win the tournament (the two hot favourites Scheffler and McIlroy are not included) . Group Six includes six former winners of the event who are expected to play in this years tournament . As Groups one to five contain players currently ranked in the top fifty in the world it is hoped that the majority will all survive the midway cut and our competition will still be anyone’s as we enter the final rounds .

Each entrant must select one player from each group . That is it , could it be simpler ???

For example if you wish to select    ; Rahm , Koepka , Spieth , Hatton , Day & Singh , your entry should read B,E,B,C,D,F

How to win

Now this is the tricky part . Let’s take Group 3 for example , in each of the Rounds (1 to 4) , the six players hall take part in a mythical six ball  (a match between six players) . At the end of each round the player with the best score for the round in question will be awarded 8 points , second place gets 5 points , 3^rd place gets 4 points , 4^th place gets 3 points , 5^th place gets 2 points and last place receives a single point  (in the event of scores being tied the points allocation shall be divided accordingly).  In the below example Hovland would have had the best round and Thomas has had a bad day , therefore every entrant who selected Hovland would receive eight points and all Thomas selectors receive one point . The points won by each entrants six selections shall be added together with the highest points totalled being deemed the winner . Therefore you do not necessarily have to select the best player in the tournament , just the best player in the group

Half the field will be eliminated after Round Two , if any of the eliminated players are within the thirty six players on our list they will score 1 shot more than the poorest round in Rounds three on Saturday and Round Four on Sunday , therefore even eliminated players will continue to score points
